César Aldrete is an award-winning chef and food stylist based in New York City. César began his food styling career in his home country of Mexico, where he earned a culinary degree from the prestigious Instituto Culinario de México.

As a young chef in Mexico, he won a medal at the “Culinary World Cup”, Expogast, in Luxembourg, and brought home several awards for Mexico in the 2011 New Zealand Restaurant Association’s global conference.

After moving to the US in 2012 and a stint as a sous chef in Cape Cod, César was hired to join the culinary team of Michelin-starred restaurant “Daniel” in New York City. At Daniel, César focused on the art and science of pastry-making. The exacting standards of Daniel’s food-plating techniques served as the perfect training ground for a shift into food styling.

In 2014 he started assisting NYC based food stylists, working for magazines like Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, Good Housekeeping and brands such as Oreo, Smirnoff, Johnsonville and Chobani, and in time since has developed his own client-roster and portfolio.

Cesar´s food styling services have been teamed up with brands such as Simply Beverages, Coffee mate, Stella Artois among others, as well as magazines and restaurants in Manhattan.

His versatility, attention to detail and worldwide cooking experience coupled with his enthusiasm as well as commitment, takes food styling to a whole new level.
